The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on 25 May, in online format. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Commission, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, Eugeniu Rusu.

The Commission met to examine 2 requests for the use of the official or historical name of the State in the trademark, which were submitted to AGEPI.

As a result of the examination, it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the state in the trademark

The areas of activity of the applicant relate to clothing, footwear, games, gymnastics and sports items, training and advertising services.

In accordance with applicable law, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the consent of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, whose activity is regulated by Government Decision No. 8/2022.
