The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on 8 June, in online format. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Commission Mr. Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).

As a result of the examination, it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the state in the trademarks

The areas of activity of the applicant for the permission relate in particular to telecommunications services.

In accordance with applicable law, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the consent of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, whose activity is regulated by Government Decision No. 8/2022.
