The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on September 14, in online format. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Commission Mr. Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of the State Agency onIntellectual Property.

As a result of the examination, it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the state in the trademarks:

The field of activity of the applicants relates to meat, fish, eggs, milk and dairy products, confectionery products, fruits and vegetables, beverages and alcoholic beverages (except beer), travel organization, public catering services, temporary accommodation services, accounting training, etc.

In accordance with the legislation in force, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the consent of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, whose activity is regulated by Government Decision No. 8/2022.
