A New Promotion of Graduates from the Training Course in Intellectual Property

On 8 February this year, at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) were presented the certificates of graduation from the training course in the field of intellectual property, which took place during the period September – December 2018.

Following the course, 18 persons got the qualification of “Counselor in Intellectual Property”, among which representatives of AGEPI, representatives of the Academy of Sciences, as well as specialists in law.

AGEPI Deputy Director General Andrei Popa congratulated the graduates with the completion of the course, wishing them success in the activity of counseling and promoting intellectual property objects.

The purpose of the course was to train counselors in the field of protection, utilization and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

During the course, the AGEPI specialists familiarized the students with the theoretical and practical aspects of the national and international normative and legislative framework in the field of industrial property protection, namely trademarks, industrial designs, inventions, geographical indications, appellations of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed, plant varieties, and the protection of copyright and related rights.

Also, AGEPI specialists spoke about the means for enforcement of intellectual property rights and the economic aspects of intellectual property. At the same time, the students positively appreciated the actuality and the quality of the taught course.

The databases and information resources of AGEPI in the field of trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications and patents and plant varieties were also presented.
