By Order of the Director General of AGEPI No 143 of December 11, 2025 on the application of the 10th edition of the Vienna Classification, issued pursuant to the decision of the Vienna Union Committee of Experts on the International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks (adopted at the 9th session of 2025), the 10th edition of the Vienna Classification is implemented.

According to item 1 of the Order:

a) the figurative elements will be classified in accordance with the 10th edition of the Vienna Classification in all trademark registration applications that have a filing date on or after 01.01.2026;

b) will not be reclassified the figurative elements:

• included in applications with a filing date earlier than 01.01.2026;
• upon renewal of trademark registration;

c) in accordance with the recommendations of the Vienna Union Committee of Experts, AGEPI will introduce the abbreviation “CFE(10)” for the figurative elements in the documents sent, the materials published and in the trademark registration certificates.
