The Most Valuable Inventions and Innovations, Awarded in the Framework of the Exhibition “INFOINVENT”

The 15th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), has designated its winners. The award ceremony took place on November 17, at Moldexpo.

Thus, the nearly 400 works exhibited at the stands were appreciated by the Committee of Experts and the International Jury of the exhibition with the following distinctions: gold medals - 129, silver medals - 72 and bronze medals - 55.

Also, the inventions presented were appreciated by trophies, cups, diplomas and special mentions both by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) and the national partners, and also with special mentions by the international institutions present at the event.

During the awards ceremony, AGEPI Director General Lilia Bolocan congratulated the participants in the exhibition: “We hope that the efforts made by the participants and organizers will help to familiarize the general public with the advantages and benefits of legal protection of inventions and other intellectual property objects for the benefit of authors and right holders. I wish the inventors, researchers, representatives of innovative enterprises and creative people to use their works, to get financing and to contribute to the progress of the Republic of Moldova.”, added Lilia Bolocan.

The most important distinction awarded under the ISE “INFOINVENT” is the Award of the Government of the Republic of Moldova “Outstanding Inventor”. In this edition, the great prize was given to inventor Victor Covaliov, for the cycle of inventions in the field of ecology.

Traditionally, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) distinctions for the most active inventors and innovative institutions are presented in the framework of the exhibition.

Thus, the WIPO Gold Medal for Inventors was awarded to Valeriu Fala, for a cycle of inventions in the field of medicine (dentistry).

The WIPO Trophy in the field of intellectual property for Enterprises was awarded to the Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection of the ASM.

Also, the team of inventors Bostan V., Dulgheru V., Bostan I., Dumitrescu C., Ciobanu R., Ciobanu O. received the AGEPI Grand Prize “Invention of the Year” for “Photovoltaic panels orientation systems”.

The AGEPI Prize “Best Invention Created by a Woman Inventor”, at national level, was awarded to Galina Lupascu, for the work “Genetic control of resistance and productivity characteristics of common wheat”. At international level, the prize was awarded to Dorica Botau, for the work “Cioco Most”.

AGEPI awarded the prize “Best Invention Created by a Young Inventor” of the Republic of Moldova to Nina Bogdan, for “Process for producing cheese and acid whey drink”. The prize “Best Invention Created by a Young Inventor” from abroad was awarded to Alexandra Tucaliuc, for “Benzylmethylamine separation process”.

During the award ceremony, the organizers also designated the winners of the AGEPI Trophy for Innovation and Creativity. Thus, the prize in the field of research-development and higher education was awarded to the Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection of the ASM, and in the field of Entrepreneurship, the prize was awarded to EURO-ALCO SRL.

The AGEPI Award “Best Industrial Design” went to the team of inventors Viorica Cazac, Raisa Druta, Alexandra Osoba, Lucia Adascalita, Natalia Onici, Ivan Osoba and Igor Vlas for “Innocuous and Smart Dairy Packages”. Internationally, the prize for the most successful industrial design was awarded to Muhammad Abdul Aziz Al Baker, for the “Quds Clock for Peace”.

At the same time, AGEPI presented the “Most Successful Plant Variety” Award to the group of inventors Alexei Palancean, Elisaveta Onica, Ion Rosca for “White sea buckthorn, katrine variety”, as well as Romanian inventors Dobrei Alin Ionel, Sala Florin, Grozea Ioana, Poiana Mariana Atena, Malaescu Ioana Mihaela, Ghita Alina Georgeta and Borca Victoria Ana, for the variety “Aromatic white Vitistm of Silagiu”.

The AGEPI Prize “Most Representative Participation in the Exhibition” was awarded to the Technical University of Moldova, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu, Romanian Inventors’ Forum and “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Romania.

We should mention that the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” is organized in partnership with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (AŞM), Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) and IEC “Moldexpo” and with the support of the European Patent Office (OEB).

Nearly 100 institutions and enterprises, young creators and inventors from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Portugal, Croatia, Czech Republic, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Morocco, Indonesia, etc., participated in the fifteenth edition.

The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” represents an ideal environment for business meetings between inventors, researchers and representatives of the investment sector. It is a major event for the entire scientific and innovation community of the Republic of Moldova.
