Meeting of the Sectoral Working Group 7 “Intellectual Property Law” included in Chapter 3 of Annex No. 2 to Government Decision No. 868/2022, involved in ensuring the implementation of the mechanism of coordination of the Republic of Moldova’s Accession Process to the European Union was held on March 13, this year, at the headquarters of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
The meeting was attended by representatives of AGEPI, the Ministry of Justice, the Secretariat of the Parliament, the National Bureau of Statistics, the State Chancellery, the National Confederation of Trade Unions, as well as other institutions from the Republic of Moldova. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Working Group, the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and distribute to the members of the Working Group the questions concerning the field of intellectual property, received from the European Commission, necessary for establishing the contribution of the Republic of Moldova to the annual Enlargement Package of the European Union.
We should mention that, in total, 33 working groups were established on public policy fields involved in ensuring the implementation of the Mechanism of Coordination of the Republic of Moldova’s European Integration Process.
During the launch event, which took place on March 3, this year, at the Government, the basic tasks of the working groups for the next period were outlined, in order to boost the preparation process for our country’s accession to the European Union. Among the priorities are: the development of the National Action Plan on the achievement of the accession criteria and the implementation of the Republic of Moldova - European Union Association Agreement and the Association Agenda for the years 2023 - 2027, establishment of our country’s contribution to the annual EU Enlargement Package, establishment of the calendar activities and the elements necessary for the efficient development of the European integration process.
