The Key to Success – Protection of New Technologies

A group of entrepreneurs who develop businesses in the field of agriculture today participated in a seminar on “The Ratio of Advantages and Risks in the Development and Implementation of Mew Technologies”, organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property.

The event takes place in the International Specialized Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment and Technologies for Agro-Industrial Sector “MOLDAGROTEH”, thirtieth edition.

In the seminar were discussed topics related to the advantages and disadvantages of the system of protection of new technologies, patenting procedure, limits of the protection of an invention and importance of patent documents as a source of technological, legal and business information.

The need for presentation of the topic mentioned proceeds from the connection between business success and entrepreneur capacity to cope with competitive challenges. The fight for a market segment requires constantly looking for solutions that lead to increased product quality, reduced costs, and simplified processes. As stated in the opening of the seminar Mr. Octavian Apostol, Director General of AGEPI, “the guarantee of success is to develop and implement new technologies”.

AGEPI specialists explained to the participants the advantages of the system of protection of new technologies, inventions protection procedure and the risk of unauthorized use of protected inventions in Moldova. They also offered practical recommendations on the use of information resources in the patent field, where the latest products and business usable processes can be selected from, at affordable prices and minor risks.

Speakers were Mr. Adrian Moisei, coordinator specialist, Training Division, Promotion and External Relations Department (Advantages and disadvantages of the system of protection of new technologies), Mr. Tudor Jovmir, coordinator specialist, Examination Division, Patents Department (Patent documents as a source of technological and business information) and Mrs. Natalia Caisim, second category specialist, Examination Division, Patents Department (Patent procedure and limits of the protection of an invention)

Remember that the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participates, in the period 2-5 March 2016, in the International Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment and Technologies for Agro-Industrial Sector “MOLDAGROTEH”, within the premises of the International Exhibition Center MOLDEXPO. In the exhibition, AGEPI is present with an information stand. AGEPI specialists provide consultations on theoretical and practical aspects of protection of intellectual property objects, sources of information in this area and will distribute promotional materials to both exhibitors and visitors.
