In the period 27 October - 30 October 2016, in Nuremberg, Germany, was held the 68th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition iENA entitled “IDEAS - INVENTIONS - NEW PRODUCTS”. The event was organized by the Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg, with Austria as the main partner in the organization.

iENA is a professional platform for ideas and inventions and most important fair of contacts and excellent opportunities for inventors and representatives of trade and industry.

In the current edition participated inventors and organizations from approximately 40 countries, and visitors were able to admire about 700 patents.

Moldova was represented in the International Exhibition iENA-2016 by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).

AGEPI representatives participated with an exhibition information stand, in which they presented the national intellectual property system, spread information about the services offered by AGEPI, about the system of validating European patents in the Republic of Moldova, distributed promotional material and mediatized the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT 2017”, fifteenth edition, and established new contacts with representatives of intellectual property offices and inventors’ associations.

At the same time, on the stand were exhibited 10 inventions of the Moldavian inventors from the academic and university institutions. This year, the Institute of Zoology was rewarded with a bronze medal by the international jury consisting of 25 members.

In turn, AGEPI selected and mentioned with distinctions three of the most interesting inventions presented at the exhibition by Germany, Iran and Iraq.

Also during this period, in Nuremberg, was held a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), in which were discussed issues related to the admission of new members, the calendar of events for the next year and the most pressing issues facing the members. As a collaborator member of IFIA, AGEPI representative invited members of the Federation to the International Specialized Exhibition INFOINVENT 2017 and was launched the invitation to be co-partners of the Exhibition INFOINVENT 2017.
