In the context of the 30 years since the foundation of the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova, the International Conference: “Intellectual Property in the New Reality: Evolutions, Challenges and Perspectives” was held in Chisinau.

The conference brought together senior officials of international and regional specialized organizations: the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), experts in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights from the country and abroad.

The discussions took place in 4 sessions:

I Intellectual Property: Recent Developments and Trends;

II Intellectual Property and Sustainable Development;

III Role of IP in Promoting Innovative Entrepreneurship and Creative Industry, Fair Competition and Free Trade;

IV European Integration Process in the IP Field: Challenges and Work Ahead for EU Candidate Countries.
