On 11 November this year, the first International Festival of Sheep and Goat Breeders “Lae Bucalae” took place in Cimislia, organized by the Association of Sheep and Goat Breeders in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Cimislia District Council, Mayoralty of Cimislia.
The festival aimed to promote and develop sheep and goat breeding, specific dairy products fabrication, leather and wool processing, and related rural tourism.
The festival was attended by shepherds from the south of Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, folk craftsmen (ceramics, leather processing) and representatives of the authorities, including the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
AGEPI participated in the said festival with the purpose of disseminating information on the national intellectual property protection system and of identifying traditional regional products with potential in the field of geographical indications.
