During the period 28-29August 2018, the Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Lilia Bolocan, participated in the High-Level Conference for Cooperation between Public Authorities with Responsibilities in the Intellectual Property Sphere of the Countries along the Economic Belt and Silk Road, which took place in Beijing, China.
The event was organized by the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (SIPO) in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization. The conference was conceived as a platform for discussion and exchange of experience on current intellectual property (IP) issues, being addressed to high-ranking officials, decision-makers and IP office managers in countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. The conference was an opportunity for strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations, creating mutually beneficial partnerships for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries, an initiative to which the Republic of Moldova is a party.
During the Conference, AGEPI Director General presented a Communication on Development of Global IP System and joint Strategies to Face New Challenges in the Digital Era –Laws, Policies and Enhanced Cooperation from the perspective of experience and best practices of the Republic of Moldova.
