Exhibition “EUROINVENT” in Its 16th Edition

The 16th edition of the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation “EUROINVENT” took place from June 6 to 8 this year, at the Palace of Culture in Iasi, Romania.

As every year, the event represented an opportunity to bring together inventors, researchers, academic and business representatives to establish collaborations and partnerships, and also to facilitate the exchange of ideas and technology transfer between participants.

During the exhibition, more than 650 inventions and research projects were presented, from 30 countries, grouped in 14 categories: environment and pollution control; energy and sustainable development; agriculture and food industry; medicine, health, cosmetics; industrial and laboratory equipment; mechanical engineering, metallurgy; constructions and construction materials; aviation, car industry and transport; chemical and textile industry; information and communication technology; printing and advertising; safety, protection and rescue of persons; sports, games and leisure; others.

The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the exhibition with an information stand. The agency’s specialists provided consultations on the theoretical and practical aspects of intellectual property protection in the Republic of Moldova and distributed promotional materials to both exhibitors and visitors. AGEPI specialists also invited the participants to the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, 19th edition, which will take place in November 2025.

Research and university institutions from the Republic of Moldova participated in this event with over 100 works from different fields.

Traditionally, AGEPI selected and mentioned with distinctions five of the most interesting inventions presented within EUROINVENT-2024. Thus, the AGEPI medals were awarded to the following participants: Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, National Research and Development Institute for Materials Physics of Bucharest, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Constantin Brancusi University of Targu-Jiu, Hofigal Export Import JSC, and a diploma of excellence to the pupil Mihai Albert Vladescu from the National College “Mihai Viteazul” in Ploiesti.

For the activity carried out in the field of promoting the national intellectual property protection system, supporting and promoting abroad the achievements of national researchers and inventors, AGEPI was awarded the Special Award of the Romanian Inventors Forum.

EUROINVENT is one of the most prestigious invention fairs in Eastern Europe, organized by the Romanian Inventors Forumf, Europe Direct Iasi, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi and the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, under the patronage of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization, International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) and World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA).
