Bilateral Agreement on the cooperation in the field of the industrial property

On current November, 13, 14 a delegation of the Patent Office of the Republic Bulgary at the head of Kostadin Manev, President of the above mentioned institution, is in the visit in the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) with a scope of including an Agreement on the cooperation in the field of the industrial property. On behalf of the Republic of Moldova the Agreement will be signed by Stefan Novac, Director General of AGEPI, authorized with the respective right.

On the assumpsion of necessity to develop an efficient cooperation in the field of business, science and technology between Bulgary and the Republic of Moldova, and being conscious of the importance of the industrial property protection in the development of the market relations in the economy of both countries, Parties will take reasonable measures to the development and widening the mutual relations by the efficient interchange of the experience and assistance in the above mentioned fields.

The cooperation between the parties shall be centered on the exchange of the official editions and legislative acts in the field of industrial property, mutual information on the protection of the inventions, industrial designs, trademarks and appellations of origin of goods, plants varieties and animal kinds, realization of the industrial property rights in the process of utilization of the intellectual product.

The substantial subjects of the Agreement constitute the computerized systems and informational technologies used in the frame of the both institutions, promotion of the industrial property, access to the information, including the informational services rendered in the industrial property field, training of the specialists.

Knowing the fact that Bulgary is a country- candidate of EU, the Parties will cooperate in harmonization of the national legislation and European standards The traditional methods of realization of these problems provide for consultations, bilateral seminarsin the IP field with participation of the ISC and EU countries, including France, Romania, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Byelarussia, taking in consideration that the Agreement on cooperation with Azerbaidjan is in the process of negociations.
