Aurelian Gulea, Designated the Most Outstanding Inventor of the Republic of Moldova

Academician Aurelian Gulea, doctor habilitate in chemical sciences, university professor, director of the Advanced Biopharmaceutical and Technical Materials Research Laboratory of the State University of Moldova was awarded the prestigious Award of the Government of the Republic of Moldova Outstanding Inventor. This distinction was given to him for prodigious activity in the field of research and development during more than 50 years and a consistent portfolio of more than 120 patents in the fields of coordination chemistry, medicine, biopharmaceutical chemistry, etc.

With a prolific career, Aurelian Gulea is the author of over 1200 publications. He holds 7 International Orders of Outstanding Inventor, 2 gold medals of the World Intellectual Property Organization. It was decorated with around 200 gold, silver and bronze medals at the World Innovation, Research and Technology Transfer Exhibitions in Brussels, Geneva, Pittsburgh, Seoul, Moscow, Warsaw, Zagreb, Casablanca, Manila, Sofia, Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Chisinau, Budapest, SuZou (China), etc.

The most outstanding inventor was selected by the jury of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, which took place, in online format, from November 22 to 24, 2023.

The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” was organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, the National Agency for Research and Development and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research.

During the event, almost 450 inventions, innovative projects and creative products were exhibited, the authors of which come from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, China, Poland, France, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Switzerland and Belgium.

During the awards ceremony, the Commission of Experts and the Jury of the Exhibition awarded a total of 295 medals, of which 138 gold, 80 silver and 77 bronze, underlining the excellence and diversity of the innovations presented.
