An information visit of third year students, in the discipline “Management of Innovations”, Business and Administration program from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) took place on February 15, this year, at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).

The visit to AGEPI aimed to familiarize young people with the national system of protection, enforcement and exploitation of intellectual property rights (IP).

The students were greeted by the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu and the Deputy Director General of AGEPI, Andrei Popa, after which they participated in an interactive lesson entitled “Protection of Intellectual Property in a New Era of Innovations”, presented by Andrei Moisei, principal consultant, Communication and Training Division, focused on the role of intellectual property in the development of innovations, as well as the importance of ensuring robust protection of intellectual property rights.

Afterwards, the students visited the library, the call center and the chancellery, where AGEPI specialists spoke to them about the procedures for registering intellectual property objects.

In the end, the students were satisfied with the event and the knowledge gained during the visit, emphasizing the importance of the information obtained for their future work.

We remind you that, in April 2011, AGEPI and ASEM concluded a Cooperation Agreement that provides for the promotion of intellectual property by training the most qualified specialists in the field in the process of training and advanced training of the ASEM teaching staff and students.
