In the days of 16-17 October 2014 within the premises of the National Museum of History of Moldova is unfolding the twenty-fourth edition of the Annual Session of Scientific Communications in the field of history and use of museum heritage. During the session were launched two numbers of the journal “Tyragetia” and presented scientific papers and reports of the scientists, professors, specialists in museography of the Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, France, Romania and Russia.

About the management of intellectual property of museums presented a report Mr. Ion Tiganas, Dr. of Law, Deputy Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI). In particular, it was pointed out that in the present context, a modern museum institution is to revise its strategy for managing intellectual property objects that it owns. The need for such an approach is dictated by the legal use of museum pieces, as well as opportunities for identifying business models and economic benefits provided by the intellectual property system. Thus, through the management of intellectual property, museum objects can generate additional income and their use shall not affect the rights of third parties.
