The State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on June 24 in the professional development training for teachers: Summer School 2022, which takes place in online format, from 20 to 24 June. The event, which has become a traditional one, was organized by the META Public Association.

The Summer School 2022 brought together teachers from different regions of the country, in order to improve the quality of education in the Republic of Moldova by exchanging ideas and experience, presenting new teaching techniques and methods, digital tools for creating interactive classes, etc.

At the current edition of the Summer School, the principal consultant from the Communication and Training Division, Andrei Moisei, presented the topic “Intellectual Property in Educational Institutions”. Teachers were first introduced to the general notions of intellectual property, namely what are the intellectual property objects, how and why they are protected. Increased attention has been paid to copyright and related rights, with discussions focusing on unfair competition, piracy, plagiarism, counterfeiting and their effects on quality of life.

We remind you that META is a non-governmental organization specialized in initiating, promoting and implementing projects aimed at improving the quality of education in the Republic of Moldova. AGEPI’s cooperation with the META organization began at the Autumn School for Teachers, organized in 2021.
