State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) offered Scholarships of Merit to two students of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (AESM), Business and Business Administration Faculty, specialty Intellectual Property Management. Winners of the contest, which is held annually, will receive 1,000 lei each month, for the academic year 2015–2016.
The ceremony of granting the Scholarship of Merit took place on December 4, within AESM. The event was attended by Octavian Apostol, Director General of AGEPI, Ala Cotelnic, First Pro-Rector with didactic activity of AESM, Angela Solcan, Dean of Business and Business Administration Faculty, students and professors, and specialists from the AGEPI.
Thus, following the examination of files submitted to the contest, by joint decision of the AESM Senate and administration of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, the AGEPI Scholarship of Merit for the academic year 2015-2016, was granted to students Nicoleta Sergentu and Ludmila Adamciuc, study group MPI-141.
Director General of AGEPI handed to the students the certificates confirming the grant of the Scholarship of Merit and a set of materials in the field of intellectual property.
Octavian Apostol said he is convinced that investments made today in the intellectual development of young people, will bring tomorrow on the labor market of the Republic of Moldova, and especially in the field of Iintellectual Property, well-trained specialists, who in turn will contribute to the economic development of the country. At the same time, the Director General of AGEPI wished success and encouraged students to be active and to apply to the next year’s contest.
AGEPI Scholarship of Merit was established in 2010. Financial support for students from the Business and Business Administration Faculty, specialty Intellectual Property Management, aims to help and stimulate the preparation of national staff in the field of intellectual property, which is one of the priority directions of the National IP Strategy in 2020.
We should note that since the establishment until the present, the AGEPI Scholarship of Merit was granted to 7 students from AESM, future managers in intellectual property.
At the same time, during the ceremony were also granted diplomas of participation for volunteer students from AESM involved in the activities of deployment of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT 2015”, which took place in the period 25-28 November.
