During the period 4-5 July 2017, AGEPI participates in the Regional Seminar on Patent Analytics, which takes place in Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan. The event is organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) jointly with the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) and the State Office for Intellectual Property and Innovation of Kyrgyzstan. The AGEPI Delegation is represented by Director General Lilia Bolocan and Head of Legal Department Diana Stici.

The meeting is conceived as a discussion platform in which the legal aspects of obtaining, ordering, analyzing, viewing and distributing patent data will be discussed. Representatives of WIPO, EAPO, and Intellectual Property Offices from the states in the region are present at the seminar, giving participants the opportunity to get acquainted with the best international practices in the field.

In the framework of the Regional Seminar, AGEPI Director General presents a report on AGEPI’s experience in the field of patent analytics, information and automation of patenting processes, as well as patent search tools existing in the Republic of Moldova.

In the same context, it is envisaged to hold a Bilateral Meeting at AGEPI and EAPO leadership level in which the current state of implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Eurasian Patent Organization on the Legal Protection of Inventions in the Republic of Moldova will be approached.
