The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on July 6 in the Summer School entitled “Innovations in Nanomedicine”, organized by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, within the Horizon 2020 NanoMedTwin Project.

The Summer School agenda included topics related to intellectual property in science, nanotechnology and new nanomaterials; trends in the development of nanoelectronics, sensors and artificial synapses; technology transfer and good innovative manufacturing practices in enterprises, etc.

The event was intended for doctoral students, students and lyceum pupiuls passionate about science and technology.

As trainer, from AGEPI, participated Andrei Moisei, principal consultant, Communication and Training Division, who spoke to those present about the protection of intellectual property (IP), its need and benefits, who and how can obtain the registration of IP objects, and what are the IP protection systems (national, regional, international). Increased attention has been paid to the invention protection system: the conditions for patenting an invention, the types of patents and the procedures through which a patent application passes. Likewise, aspects related to the phenomenon of plagiarism, counterfeiting and the negative effects they have on the socio-economic environment of the country were discussed.

The participants in the information session showed an active interest in the topics addressed, having the opportunity to receive answers to the questions asked.
