AGEPI participated in the European Researchers’ Night

On September 25 this year, in the square of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), was held the “European Researchers’ Night”, second edition.

The event was organized by ASM and aims to promote science among young generation and to launch an effective communication platform between the academic environment and the general public. The event is a major project and is a component of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which are part of the EU research program Horizon 2020.

The event was attended by famous scientists from the country, researchers and inventors who presented in a language understood by all, the most important achievements in the field of science and innovation, spoke about the contribution of science to the progress of humanity, and encouraged young people to follow a career in research.

State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) attended the said event with an information stand, providing consultancy on the theoretical and practical aspects of protection of IP objects, information sources in this area, distributed promotional materials and gave consultations on intellectual property to both research institutions present at the stands and visitors.

The inauguration solemnity of this important event was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Valeriu Strelet, European Union Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Pirkka Tapiola, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Daniela Cujba, President of ASM, Acad. Gheorghe Duca, who emphasized the role of science in the state, society, as well the life of each of us.

We should note that “European Researchers’ Night” is held every year in over 300 European cities, on the last Friday of September.
