AGEPI participated in the Chisinau Maker Faire Technology Festival

The State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on June 10, this year, in the third edition of the Chisinau Maker Faire technology festival, a large-scale event dedicated to innovators and creators from the Republic of Moldova. The festival, dedicated this year to the whole family, gathered numerous visitors who had the opportunity to discover a fascinating exhibition, participate in exciting workshops and explore surprising innovations.

The 2023 edition of the festival included a variety of thematic areas that captivated both young tech enthusiasts and adults interested in innovation. These included the Workshop and Masterclass Area, where participants had the opportunity to learn new techniques and develop their practical skills. The Virtual Reality and Gaming Area also offered immersive experiences through virtual reality technology and interactive games.

The festival exhibition gathered around 50 Makers from various fields, such as engineering, design, crafts and personal projects. They presented innovative creations and shared their knowledge with the visiting public. The presentation sessions represented a special opportunity for young people, and Andrei Moisei, principal consultant in the Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, spoke about the importance of legal protection of intellectual creations in innovative activity.

Maker Faire is recognized as the largest international technology festival where creators and innovators can showcase their works and share their experiences. The event aims to inform, connect and expand the community of tech enthusiasts, creators and innovators.

Organized by the Clubul Tinerilor Makeri, Micro Lab, Atelier 99 and FabLab Chisinau, the Chisinau Maker Faire festival benefited from the support of partners such as LED LICHTENSTEIN DEVELOPMENT SERVICE, Make: makezine.com, the National Association of ICT Companies, Tekwill, ACEM, Kody and Diez. Through their collaboration, the festival managed to offer participants a special experience and promote innovation and creativity in the Republic of Moldova.
