The 17th edition of the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation “EUROINVENT” was held from 8 to 10 May, this year, at the Palace of Culture in Iași, Romania.
The EUROINVENT exhibition represents a unique platform for displaying the results of scientific research, facilitating the interaction of researchers and scientists in an innovative format with totems and digital panels, in the presence of specialists from the most important universities and institutes in Romania and other countries.
For this year’s edition, over 640 inventions and research projects were registered, from 38 countries, grouped into 14 categories.
The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the exhibition with an information stand. The agency’s specialists provided consultations on the theoretical and practical aspects of protecting intellectual property objects in the Republic of Moldova, distributed promotional materials and launched an invitation to participate in the 19th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, which will be held from 19 to 21 November 2025 in Chisinau.
Research and university institutions from the Republic of Moldova participated in this event with over 100 works from various fields.
Traditionally, AGEPI selected and awarded five of the most interesting inventions presented during “EUROINVENT-2025”. Thus, the AGEPI medals were awarded to the following participants: Gh. Asachi Technical University of Iași, Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești, National Institute for Research and Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry ICECHIM Bucharest, the National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA Bucharest and CONTINENTAL Automotive Romania SRL enterprise.
For the activity carried out in the field of promoting the national intellectual property protection system, supporting and promoting abroad the achievements of national researchers and inventors, AGEPI was awarded the Special Prize of the Romanian Inventors Forum. Also, AGEPI was appreciated with two special prizes from the State University of Moldova and from the INCD URBAN-INCERC for promoting Romanian inventions.
In total, nine prizes were awarded during the 17th edition of the exhibition “EUROINVENT”. The Grand Prix “EUROINVENT-2025” was awarded to the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova “Nicolae Testemițanu”.
EUROINVENT is one of the most prestigious invention fairs in Eastern Europe, organized by the Romanian Inventors Forum, Europe Direct Iași, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași under the patronage of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) and the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA).
