Since September 18, 2018, the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) has joined the Global Design Database search tool provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). AGEPI submitted data on industrial designs entered into the national registers of the office to be included in the Global Design Database search tool.

Global Design Database is an online consultancy tool, by which the user can search free of charge the industrial designs of all participating offices, including WIPO and national offices. It is a multilingual and easy-to-use tool that provides access to registration applications and registered industrial designs provided by participating offices in a single platform. Each office is the owner of the content it provides, being responsible for its daily update.

Global Design Database offers:

• Details of industrial designs, for example - legal status, graphic representations of industrial designs, owner, etc.;
• Possibility to print the selected information;

With this latest expansion, the total number of national/regional offices participating in the Global Design Database amounts to 13. By completing more than 10,000 industrial designs from AGEPI, Global Design Database provides information and access to more than 525,000 industrial designs.

The integration of AGEPI data into Global Design Database is the result of effective cooperation between WIPO and its partners.
