During the period 4-6 November 2025, a delegation of the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) paid a working visit to the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) in Romania, as part of an exchange of experience dedicated in particular to the harmonization of the legislation of the Republic of Moldova in the field of industrial designs with the acquis of the European Union.
The program of the visit included a series of sessions focused on the transposition and application of the new European regulations on industrial designs, in the context of the reform of EU legislation in this field.
During the exchange of experience, OSIM specialists presented good practices regarding legislative harmonization, examination and registration procedures, protection and enforcement of rights, as well as institutional cooperation with the European Union Intellectual Property Office and other European offices. Also, aspects related to the impact of the new regulations on the business environment and innovators, as well as public information about the legislative framework, were addressed.
The visit provided an efficient platform for dialogue and exchange of experience on the implementation of European standards in support of the process of harmonizing the legislation of the Republic of Moldova in the field of industrial property with the Community acquis.
The event ended with the formulation of future directions of cooperation between AGEPI and OSIM, aimed at continuing joint training activities, exchange of information and good practices in industrial design protection.
