Starting with May 20 this year, economic agents owning trademarks registered with the State Agency on Intellectual Property, can submit files for participation in the thirteenth edition of the Contest “Trademark of the Year”, launched by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
Contest “Trademark of the Year” is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the State Agency on Intellectual Property since 2003, being a professional contest that offers a unique opportunity to analyze the experience of creating and promoting trademarks, which allow of highlighting the leaders and assessing the dynamic behavior of consumers on the domestic market.
Through this contest, the organizers aim to contribute to increasing the competitiveness and enhancing the capacities of local enterprises in creating and promoting trademarks on the local market, but also internationally. In the contest can participate enterprises and organizations with diverse forms of ownership, legal entities registered in the Republic of Moldova, and natural persons that produce material goods and/or provide services in the country, which will compete for the grand prize - Golden Mercury, cold, silver and bronze medals in the 9 nominations of the contest. Contest winners will be awarded during the Moldovan Business Gala.
The participants enrolled in the contest benefit from a range of facilities from the State Agency on Intellectual Property among which should be mentioned: organization of seminars/trainings in the field of intellectual property for the employees of the participants in the contest, promotion of trademarks winners of the contest in the publications of AGEPI, free consultancy to the registration of trademarks and intellectual property pre-diagnosis services, and facilities from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, namely: 20% discount on issuance of certificates of origin of goods on which are applied the trademarks participating in the contest, for participation in bilateral forums and trade missions abroad, etc.
