A solemn ceremony for presentation of special intellectual property (IP) training course graduation certificates, held from September to December 2023 was held on March 1, this year, in the premises of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI). The course was successfully promoted by 11 people from different fields of activity, a fact that attests to the increased interest in this important subject for society as a whole.
The Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, congratulated those who completed this course, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts in this vital field of knowledge and development. He wished them much success in the activity of promoting intellectual property objects.
Under the careful guidance of specialists in the field, the 11 graduates consolidated their knowledge in various theoretical and practical aspects on the national and international normative-legislative framework in the field of protection of industrial property objects, namely trademarks, industrial designs, inventions, geographical indications, appellations of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed, plant varieties, as well as the protection of copyright and related rights.
Also, the participants in the course learned more details about the means of enforcement of intellectual property rights and the economic aspects of IP and acquainted themselves with the databases and informational resources of AGEPI in the field.
Graduates were satisfied with the quality of the lessons and the information provided in the course, underlining its importance and usefulness for their careers.
Through this educational initiative, AGEPI aims to strengthen awareness and expertise regarding the protection and exploitation of intellectual property in the Republic of Moldova and to train future specialists who will contribute to stimulating economic growth in the country.
