On the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development, the Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Eugeniu Rusu, took part in the second edition of the Research and Innovation Festival “Science for Peace and Development: Creativity, Experience, Perspectives”, organized by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) and the National Agency for Research and Development.
The event, held in a hybrid format, included an exhibition and a festive meeting, bringing together notable figures from the scientific world, rectors of higher education institutions, directors of research institutes, agency directors, scientific researchers, teaching staff and other persons interested inpromoting science and innovation.
Eugeniu Rusu, in his speech during the Festival, emphasized the lasting collaboration between AGEPI and ASM, highlighting the success of several beautiful projects developed in previous years. The Director General of AGEPI also emphasized the importance of innovations and the contribution of the scientific community and the business environment of Moldova to the development of the national economy.
“In an era where innovation and creativity are becoming more and more important for the development of society, intellectual property is becoming an essential pillar for protecting and promoting intellectual endeavors. We are firmly committed to supporting researchers and innovators in the process of valorizing their creations, giving them the necessary tools and the legal framework to transform their ideas into sustainable sources of economic development,” said Eugeniu Rusu during the Festival.
The current event was an outstanding platform, giving researchers the opportunity to showcase their scientific results and valuable achievements achieved in recent years. During this Festival, not only the notable advances in the field of science were emphasized, but also the fundamental importance of continuous collaboration between academic institutions and the private sector in promoting innovation and sustainable development in the Republic of Moldova.
We remind you that the first edition of the Research and Innovation Festival took place on November 10, 2022. The event constituted a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas between interested parties, strengthening the links between research, innovation and sustainable development.
