The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) organized, on April 27, 2023, in online format, the 24th edition of the Annual Scientific-Practical Symposium “AGEPI Readings”. The event was part of the series of events dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day, marked annually on April 26. Women and Intellectual Property: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity is the theme of World Intellectual Property Day 2023.
The Symposium was attended by specialists active in the field of intellectual property (IP), as well as representatives of institutions and organizations in the field of science and innovation, central public administration authorities with responsibilities in the field of intellectual property rights enforcement, authorized attorneys and counselors in intellectual property, inventors, professors, students, masters and other interested persons.
The event was a good opportunity to promote new evolutions in the field of intellectual property, to exchange experience, information and best practices, to identify new perspectives for the effective management of the biggest challenges in the field of intellectual property.
The event was opened by the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, who mentioned that: “The Annual Scientific-Practical Symposium “AGEPI Readings” represents an important event for the development and promotion of intellectual property in the Republic of Moldova. It is a unique opportunity for experts from different fields to meet, discuss current issues and identify innovative solutions and strategies to promote and protect intellectual property in our country. AGEPI is ready to support all efforts made in this regard and to support the development of this important field.”
18 papers focused on the field of intellectual property and related fields were presented during the Symposium. Topics relevant to the field of intellectual property were addressed, including the protection of IP rights and the procedures of grant thereof, enforcement of intellectual property rights, judicial practice in the resolution of conflicts in the field of IP, the economic aspects related to the evaluation and management of intellectual property objects, modern tools for valorization and promotion of intellectual property, etc.
