The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the 14th edition of the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation EUROINVENT, which took place from 26 to 28 May in Iasi, Romania. During the exhibition, over 344 inventions and research projects from 27 countries were presented, grouped into 14 categories: environment and pollution control; energy and sustainable development; agriculture and food industry; medicine, health, cosmetics; industrial and laboratory equipment; mechanical engineering, metallurgy; construction and building materials; aviation, car industry and transportation; chemical and textile industry; information and communication technology; printing and advertising; safety, protection and rescue of persons; sports, games and leisure; others.
At the current edition of EUROINVENT, the community of inventors from the Republic of Moldova had a significant presence, participating with about 146 works exhibited by universities and research institutions. These include the Technical University of Moldova, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “N. Testemitanu”, State University of Moldova, State Agrarian University of Moldova, Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection, Institute of Physiology and Sanocreatology and others. The works presented by the inventors and researchers from the Republic of Moldova enjoyed a high appreciation of the jury, being awarded gold, silver, bronze medals and special prizes.
Traditionally, AGEPI selects and awards the inventions presented in the exhibition, appreciating them according to their novelty, inventiveness and applicability. This time, three medals were awarded for the works exhibited by Romanian inventors. The winners selected by AGEPI are:
1. Polytechnic University of Bucharest - Wastewater treatment at high potential sewage treatment plants with antibiotics, pesticides or other biologically active substances.
2. Technical University of Cluj-Napoca - Parallel robot for the motor rehabilitation of the lower limbs.
3. Technical University of Cluj-Napoca - Parallel robot for the recovery of lower limb mobility.
AGEPI participated in the exhibition with an information stand, offering consultations on the theoretical and practical aspects of protection of intellectual property objects in the Republic of Moldova. The representatives of the Agency also urged those present to participate in the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, 18th edition, which will take place in November 2023.
At the award ceremony, the State Agency on Intellectual Property was awarded the special prize by the organizers of the exhibition.
The event was organized by the Romanian Inventors Forum, the Association for Ecology and Sustainable Development, through the Europe Direct Iasi Information Center, Gh. Asachi Technical University of Iasi, Al.I.Cuza University of Iasi, in partnership with the Gr.T.Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, National Research Institute for Environmental Protection.
