The State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) participated on 20-22 March 2019 in the 17th edition of the International Exhibition of Research, Innovation and Inventiveness PRO INVENT, which took place in the Polyvalent Hall BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
This year’s edition of the Exhibition brought together 70 participants representing universities, institutes, centers from Romania and abroad, who exhibited over 400 inventions. According to the organizers, besides the Romanian inventions, there were also projects from the Republic of Moldova, Iran, Poland, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Korea, USA and Canada.
The Republic of Moldova was represented in the Exhibition PRO INVENT - 2019 by a group of inventors and researchers from several institutions and organizations, such as: Technical University of Moldova, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “N. Testemitanu”, National Public Health Center, State University of Moldova, Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection of the ASM, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Institute of Chemistry of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Institute of Phytotechny “Porumbeni” , PITL “Universe” from Chisinau, Junior Achievement Moldova, etc.
AGEPI participated in the Exhibition with an informational stand, within the framework of which were distributed promotional materials. At the same time, information and consultations on the national intellectual property system and the validation of European patents on the territory of the Republic of Moldova were provided. Also, AGEPI specialists launched the invitation to participate in the 16th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, which will be held on 20-23 November 2019.
Traditionally, AGEPI selected and mentioned with gold medals the most interesting inventions presented at the Exhibition by the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine “King Mihai I of Romania” from Timisoara, University of Craiova, University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, Turda Agricultural Research and Development Station.
At the same time, for its contribution to the promotion of the field of intellectual property, AGEPI was awarded the diploma of excellence from the organizers of the Exhibition PRO INVENT-2019.
