The new tool Global Design Database is free and publicly available on the WIPO website http://www.wipo.int/designdb/en/index.jsp.
Including initially 185,000 records, Global Design Database allows documentary research of industrial designs registered under the Hague System, administered by WIPO, as well as those of the national collection of industrial design registrations in Canada. The database mentioned will continue to expand as more national collections are to be included in the coming months.
WIPO also announced that the Hague Express Database (http://www.wipo.int/designdb/hague/en/) has been updated with a new interface and improved technology that allows users to view detailed images of industrial designs registered under the Hague System.
