On November 17 this year, in the v. Braviceni, Orhei district, was held the training seminar “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship, Cooperation and Consultation in Agricultural Field”, organized by the National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA), within the project funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The seminar was attended by farmers and representatives of local public authorities from Orhei, Soldanesti, Criuleni and Calarasi districts, experts from Poland, ACSA representatives, and AGEPI specialists.
During the seminar were discussed topics, such as: the concept and basic prerequisites for sustainable rural development and social responsibility in business; integrated approach to solving the problems of the village as a measure to reduce migration; Polish experience of initiating and planning funding projects for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas; strategy for rural development of the Republic of Moldova from the perspective of the Association Agreement; application of innovation to diversify, increase efficiency and improve product quality.
Also, participants in the seminar were familiarized with the system of protection of geographical indications, appellations of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, Simion Levitchi, Director of Trademarks, Industrial Designs department, AGEPI, presented the communication „Geographical Indications, Appellations of Origin and Traditional Specialties Guaranteed – New Opportunities for Economic Development of Rural Areas” and disseminated information materials in the given field.
