State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) invites mass media representatives to a press conference for the presentation of the National Report on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in the Republic of Moldova for 2013. The event will take place on Monday, June 23, at 11.00, in the conference hall of AGEPI (24/1, A. Doga Str.).
The event will be attended by:
- Lilia Bolocan – Director General of AGEPI;
- Serghei Diaconu – Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs;
- Veaceslav Soltan – Head of Information Technologies and of computer Crime Investigations Department, Prosecutor General’s Office;
- Heiko Wild - Head of the Office of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM), Chisinau.
Said Report is the only publication in the country, which inserts in its pages the up-to-day situation in the field of counterfeiting and piracy, and the evolution and the impact that these phenomena have on rights holders, consumers, national economy and society in general. The study also includes general information on the subject analyzed, statistical data on the work of public authorities responsible for the protection and enforcement (Customs Service, General Inspectorate of Police, Prosecutor General’s Office and AGEPI), analysis of counterfeiting and piracy phenomenon in the Republic of Moldova and presents the most important actions carried out during 2013 for preventing violations of intellectual property rights.
