In order to familiarize mediators, judges and other interested persons with the role of mediation process in the resolution of intellectual property disputes, on October 10, 2013, in the conference hall of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) is taking place the Training Seminar “Mediation in Intellectual Property”. The seminar is organized by AGEPI with the support and participation of representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova and the National Institute of Justice.
In the seminar participates the Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim, Director General of AGEPI Lilia Bolocan, Chairman of the Mediation Council Tatiana Ciaglia, Executive Director of the National Institute of Justice Anastasia Pascari and the senior expert of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center Heike Wollgast and the expert from the Oxford Brook Street des Roches LLP Peter Moody, as well as specialists from several state institutions.
In the seminar are addressed theoretical and practical aspects of the mediation process, are demonstrated the intellectual property dispute mediation techniques with the presentation of case studies, mediation procedures adapted by the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization, including for intellectual property offices and is elucidated the role of mediator in the mediation process.
The participants in the seminar have the opportunity to exchange experience and information on issues of mediation in intellectual property and become familiar with various case studies from the field.
