The strategy of the intellectual property in the contemporaneous economy is world-recognized. The Republic of Moldova as a member-state of about 30 regional and international conventions, agreements and treatments, on the basis of which it is realized the protection of the intellectual property objects makes efforts with the aim of propagation and utilization of the IP national potential. The last 15 years are marked with creation of a medium of development of IP protection system and conditions for the diversification of the ways of reestablishing the national economy, inclusively by utilization of the intellectual product and technologic transfer.

In order to disseminate the information and familiarize representatives of the research-development, high education and business domain of the republic with management of the intellectual property and in honour of the 15-th anniversary of AGEPI foundation and constitution of the national system of intellectual property protection, in the period of October 18-19, 2007 at 10.00, in the Republic Palace of Chisinau (hall II-B), will take place the National Seminar “Intellectual Property Management”: innovation, promotion and transfer of technologies” organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) in collaboration with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

In the work of the seminar will take part the office holder of WIPO, Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO), State Office on Inventions and Trademarks of Romania (OSIM), State Patent Office of the Republic Kirgizstan (Kyrgizpatent) and Romanian Office on the Copyright (ORDA).

The seminar is provider for the institutions and organizations acting in the field of research/development and high education, small and middle enterprises, representatives and agents in industrial property, specialists interacting with the IP system. The specialists of WIPO, ASM and AGEPI will familiarize the participants with the last realizations in the field of intellectual property management, with the role of innovations and technologic transfer in the development of an economy based on the knowledge, with the best methods of solving the problems and disputes in the IP field, with the activity of services of the technologic transfer etc. The program of the seminar stipulates for development of the round tables “Intellectual property management” administered by Vladimir Yossifov, WIPO Counselor.

! On October 19, in the last day of the seminar, at 14.00 in the Press Agency INFOTAG will be organized a press conference dedicated the results of this meetings. The same day, at 16.00 in the Republic Palace will take place the solemn ceremony dedicated the 15-th Anniversary of AGEPI foundation.
