The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on November 9, this year, in online format. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-President of the Commission, Head of the International Economic Cooperation Directorate, Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, Cristina Ceban.

During the meeting, a request regarding the use of the official or historical name of the State was examined and it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the State in the trademark  with the international registration No. 1664168, in the name of FAN COURIER EXPRESS SRL, RO.

The said trademark is to be used for the following category of services: courier services, transport by courier; transport logistics; postal and courier services, etc.

In accordance with the legislation in force, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the permission of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, whose activity is regulated by Government Decision No. 8/2022.
