AGEPI Participates in the Activities Organized within the Global Entrepreneurship Week

Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Lilia Bolocan, participated today in the GEWPublic Conference, organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network of Moldova (GEN Moldova), on the occasion of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which takes place from 13 to 19 November in the Republic of Moldova.

At the opening of the event, Lilia Bolocan mentioned that at present we have a relatively mature and efficient mechanism, harmonized with the European intellectual property legislation, which allows of ensuring a sufficient degree of protection for all intellectual property objects available to the entrepreneurship of the Republic of Moldova. The legislation of the Republic of Moldova is harmonized with the provisions of the European directives in the field of intellectual property. Only by obtaining protection of the results of human creativity, by adopting special normative acts aimed at prohibiting their illegal use by third parties, it is possible to ensure the domination of private property over intellectual products, underlined the Director General of AGEPI.

The GEWPublic Conference covered discussion panels on entrepreneurship development models and support policies for the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The purpose of the activity was to present similar experiences of entrepreneurship from different states and entrepreneurial development. GEWPublic has gathered 6 international and 6 national speakers.

Tuesday’s activities in the Global Entrepreneurship Week will be geared towards youth and women entrepreneurship. Wednesday will be dedicated to responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship. In the framework of Thursday’s activities will be discussed aspects related to how to do business from art and culture within GEW Innovation: Culture & Creativity. On Friday, young people who entered the DECA Idea Challenge international competition will have the opportunity to test their presentation skills at the DECA National Finals.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week is the fifth edition and represents the celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth, and expand human welfare.
