On July 26 this year, the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN Moldova) organized the third edition of the Creative Entrepreneurship Gala, in which was held the national finals of the competition: Creative Business Cup (CBC).

The competition aimed at identifying the creative business ideas of the Republic of Moldova and promoting them internationally.

The event was also attended by mentors, partners, champions of previous editions, specialized jury, artists who offered unique moments.

In order to support the innovative and creative spirit in the business environment, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated as partner of the Creative Business Cup competition.

At the opening of the event, AGEPI Director General Lilia Bolocan mentioned that AGEPI is the institution that supports and promotes entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova and explained to the participants the importance of protecting intellectual property for business development. AGEPI Director General added that there are all conditions in the Republic of Moldova to protect intellectual property objects and invited the competitors to register their intellectual creations.

GEN Moldova offered the State Agency on Intellectual Property a diploma for supporting entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova.

After the invitees’ speeches, the fire test for the 6 competing teams followed. Thus, the participants presented their business ideas to the jury of the competition.

Winner of the Creative Business Cup national stage was designated the Rift Time team, which presented an on-line service to help architects make virtual visits and create virtual presentations for architectural and real estate companies. Thus, Rift Time will represent the Republic of Moldova in the international competition finals in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The first edition of Creative Entrepreneurship Gala was held in June, 2015. The competition takes place in two stages: national and international.
