In the period 22-25 October this year, at the IEC Moldexpo is conducted the Agro-Industrial Week, including the International Specialized Exhibition “MOLDAGROTECH”, twenty-seventh edition and the International Specialized Fair-Exhibition “FARMER”, seventeenth edition.

The organizer of the exhibitions is the International Exhibition Center “Moldexpo” JSC, co-organizers being the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova, National Farmers Federation of Moldova, Republican Union of Associations of Agricultural Producers, “UniAgroProtect” and National Federation of Farmers of the Republic of Moldova “AGROinform”.

In the framework of the exhibitions is organized a comprehensive business program that includes an international conference, seminars, business meetings, workshops, consultative and informative discussions with the participation of experts from Moldova and abroad.

State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) participates with an information stand in the works of the International Specialized Exhibition of products, equipment, technologies and crafts “FARMER”. The economic agents participating in the exhibitions can get by the AGEPI stand free consultancy on the national system of protection of intellectual property, how to access public databases on intellectual property objects registered with the AGEPI (inventions, trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications and appellations of origin, plant varieties, etc.), and other practical aspects in the field.

In accordance with the Program of the exhibition, on 24 October this year in the conference hall of the central pavilion of the IEC “Moldexpo”, AGEPI organized an information seminar for economic agents, including from the small and medium-sized enterprises sector, entitled “Intellectual Property - Support for Enterprise Development”.

AGEPI specialists familiarized the participants in the seminar with the major theoretical and practical aspects on the protection of inventions in the field of agriculture, especially related to agricultural machinery, as well as patent protection of new plant varieties. The moderator of the seminar was Mrs. Svetlana Munteanu, Deputy Director General of AGEPI.
