State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) launches in the period July 4 to August 4, 2016, the Contest for pupils on the theme “Tourism and Respect for Intellectual Property”.

The purpose of the contest is to promote information in the field of intellectual property, stimulate creativity and innovation process of the population, and for carrying out activities launched by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with the view of building respect for intellectual property.

The contest consists in creating an image, so that it would discourage tourists to buy counterfeit or pirated products and to promote them in countries of residence.

Thus, the image must be within the theme: “Tourism and Respect for Intellectual Property”, be a personal and original creation of the author (or group of authors), constitute a graphic representation: words, letters, numbers, other figurative elements or combinations thereof, have a resolution of at least 96 dpi and submitted in the following sizes: horizontal image - 1024x768 or vertical image - 800 x1000 or square image - 1000 x1000.

An author (or group of authors) may submit for the Contest no more than three different images.

In the contest may participate natural persons studying in university institutions in the country or a group of persons, by completing the participation application in electronic format at: https://goo.gl/aNBRp5.

The image can be emailed to: agepi.concurs@gmail.com, in format .jpg, .RGB. or .PDF., till August 4, 2016.

Applications submitted for the contest will be examined by the members of the Organizing Committee. In analyzing the images it will be taken into account their originality, creativity and representativeness in relation to the topic requested.

The author of the most successful image will receive the WIPO Trophy, certificate of participation, WIPO smartphone loudspeaker and promotional materials.

Also, participants ranking the positions I, II and III will be mentioned with cash prizes from AGEPI and Ritlabs LLC worth 1,500 lei, 1,000 lei and, respectively, 500 lei.

The winning image will be transmitted by AGEPI to WIPO. Subsequently, it will be displayed as a poster during a touristic sightseeing.

Contest results will be published on the website www.agepi.gov.md and AGEPI Facebook page.
